Whether your pet is really funny, amazingly cute or just insanely smart, chances are it didn’t make this list of pets of the week. These pets are truly something else. But don’t fret, there’s always next week!
Dolphins are one of the smartest animals on the planet. They can be aggressive as well, but if they know a reward is waiting later they’ll happily join us silly humans in a game of water-splatter. Fun times guaranteed!
Squirrels are one the cutest animals alive, if you ask me, but who knew they were so useful as well? When you need a tooth pulled, it certainly helps to be cheered up in the process, so using a squirrel is a big fat WIN-WIN.
If you’re a pet owner, you’ve probably wondered more than once what your furry ones do while you’re at work…
Are they sleeping away the day, maybe they’re getting into the food, or tearing up your magazines? Short of installing a security camera, we’ll likely never know. That is unless you’re one of these lucky folks who came home and caught their pets knee-deep in destruction.
They just weren’t expecting their parents home so early…and the look of incredible and hilarious guilt on their faces is priceless!
The cold times can be hard on a squirrel, so when you get your little claws on something as delicious as a donut… Jackpot! Eat it as fast as you can, because who knows who’s coming to take away your precious new food!
Harry Eggens, a Dutch wildlife photographer, has captured an image of a bear cub throwing down some shapes, or maybe engaging in some tai chi to find inner peace.
As fearsomely cute as their cubs are, the largest of theseEurasian brown bears (Ursus arctos arctos)weighed a record 480 kilograms (1,058 pounds).
The photographs were snapped in northeastern Finland near the Russian border. An estimated 100,000 of these bears live throughout Europe and Asia. While their numbers havebounced backfairly successfullyfrom the days of trophy hunting, its believed just 2 percentof the bears live on their original stomping grounds as logging, mining and other development projects increasingly sweep through their habitat.
What happens in this video will probably not surprise you. Animals and sour stuff, you’ve seen it before. But I just can’t get enough of that look of surprise, disgust and curiosity all in one frame. This doggy portrays hilariously how we all feel about them damn lemons.
Toilet paper is nothing but a necessity for us, but for animals it is a strange, but funny object. It rolls, it’s soft and it doesn’t taste THAT bad… These little cats have the time of their nine lives!
You may think they’re cute and cuddly, but deep down, cats are purely evil geniuses.
While a recent study states that cuddling cats could increase the risk of cat-scratch disease, landing you in the hospital or even resulting in death, cats have actually been plotting your death for a very long time.
Metal is probably under-appreciated as a music category, especially when you consider metal singers all have a secret talent. They each sound like a bird. That’s right, you heard it here first (well not really, but you get the gist).
This is the story of how a squirrel stole Christmas.
Margaret Rican and her Seattle home has been targeted by a thieving squirrel that she has dubbed the “Bulb Bandit.” In a series of YouTube videos, Rican documented the pesky rodent taking colorful bulbs out of a string of lights wraaped around her home’s deck.
“He has stolen 150 in 24 hours, carefully and precisely chewing through the wires to steal the bulb and bury them around the neighborhood,” Rican explains on YouTube.
While it’s humorous to think that there’s a Christmas-hating squirrel roaming the streets of Seattle, the story takes a sudden depressing turn when you realize this poor squirrel probably thinks the bulbs are actually food.
“We want to believe that this little varmint is decorating his nest, but really, we think that he believes these to be food,” Rican wrote. “He’s the hardest working rodent we’ve ever seen, and we are really pulling for him, and hoping he survives this winter.”
Possibly killing your family cat will surely send any preteen into emergency mode, but the fear of getting in trouble is always a priority.
Redditor ChiefAcorn shared an email they received at the animal hospital where they work. Maggie, a 12-and-a-half-year-old wasn’t paying attention and her cat Shadow snuck a few sips of her strawberry milk, which concerned her enough to write her vet an email while her family was sleeping.
“I am concerned how this may effect him because I do not know if he has ever drunken milk or strawberry milk,” the email reads. “I am also concerned because I am the only one in my family who is awake and I am only 12 and a half so I don’t know what to do. Please help me.”
Maggie’s adorable call for help was met with reassuring email from the vet, letting her know that it was OK for Shadow to have a few sips of strawberry milk, but that it’s probably not a good idea to let it happen often.
Unfortunately, it took the vet a little while to get back to Maggie, but we’re sure her parents would understand if she was forced to tell them the tale of Shadow and the strawberry milk sips.
While a squirrel enjoying a taco in a trash can in New York is nothing spectacular, this clever rodent managed to scavenge a fully intact hardshell taco, and bring it up a tree to enjoy it in peace and quiet, away from the hustle and bustle of the sidewalks below.
WATCH: I am so unreasonably jealous of this view of the southern lights
“I’m Scott Madaus, live in Hernando, Mississippi where there have been spottings of a cougar,” the man said into the camera. “And that’s not it, that looks like a house cat,” he continued as the shot panned to a very normal cat, and stayed on it for the remainder of the recording.
On the screen, the chyron reads: “LARGE CAT SPOTTED.”
The news team’s use of the random cat in the field was instant comedic gold, and the clip quickly spread on Twitter, where it received over 30,000 retweets.
Fetch is usually a game just for dogs, but this tortoise obviously doesn’t know that. He just likes to “run” around and chase the ball. Whatever floats your boat, little friend, as long as you’re having fun!
As a dog, you’re on the hunt for food, practically all day every day. So naturally, when an opportunity presents itself where food is just lying on the floor, unguarded, life couldn’t be better, right? Well, when something seems too good to be true, it often is.
Melanie J. Sceva Hill happened across an odd scene on Saturday in Freeland, Washington. A careless sea lion made its way to a Honda Civic in a parking lot and decided that the roof was a perfect place to catch a snooze.
“That’s the weirdest thing,” Hill can be heard saying in the clip. “Why would he even do that?”
Apparently Honda Civics are like lounge chairs to sea dogs.
Hill says that two local sheriffs cars responded to the incident and broke up the slumber party.
It’s always hilarious when you’re able to time a prank so perfectly that the prankee spills the cereal they were holding all down the front of their shirt. The bigger the mess, the better. The best pranksters out there, though, might be our furry, bug-eyed, or even scaly counterparts. They’re unpredictable, and you never know what kind of mood they’re going to be in.
These animals have got the spook down…
“BOO! Ha, gotcha.”
If only these animals could give me tips on how to spook my roommates.
Cats are perfect cuddle companions for their humans. There’s nothing like hearing that soothing purr as you both relax and zone out on the couch.
However, as most owners know, they can also be huge jerks. It would be one thing if they at least seemed apologetic about it, but of course they just can’t be bothered to care one little bit. In their eyes, they simply can do no wrong.
1. “Mm, yes, this important bill has an excellent flavor.”
At least dogs usually have the decency to pretend they feel guilty. Cats, on the other hand, seem to expect us to apologize for being so rudely offended by their totally “normal” actions. Sheesh, it’s a good thing they’re cute.
