If you’re a pet owner, you’ve probably wondered more than once what your furry ones do while you’re at work…

Are they sleeping away the day, maybe they’re getting into the food, or tearing up your magazines? Short of installing a security camera, we’ll likely never know. That is unless you’re one of these lucky folks who came home and caught their pets knee-deep in destruction.

They just weren’t expecting their parents home so early…and the look of incredible and hilarious guilt on their faces is priceless!

1. “Dinner’s on me, Mom.”

2. “I wasn’t grabbing your wallet. I swear.”

3. He’s not even sorry!

4. Looks like someone’s hungry!

5. Are these guys not getting fed?

6. “Come on in…the water’s perfect!”

7. Oh, Denver!

8. “Ummmmm, it’s not what it looks like.”

9. She’s trying to tell you she needs to use the bathroom.

10. “Oh. You’re home.”

11. “It’s more comfortable this way!”

12. That looks cozy.

13. *Just act natural.*

14. He looks guilty…but the cat? Yeah, he looks dead.

15. You suuuuure you didn’t get into the lipstick?

16. No, see, it’s supposed to go on your lips…not your paws, silly!

17. “There’s definitely nothing dead buried here.”

18. “What? Stacey said she needs cupcakes for her bake sale!”

19. If you’re innocent, why are you hiding?

20. “I don’t know what you’re talking about.”

21. “You know how much I love sashimi, Mom!”

22. “I thought we could use a little green indoors!”

23. “Dad…DAD! Look what I did!”

In the end, though, it’s just so hard to stay mad at them!

Adorable Bear Cub Spotted Doing Tai Chi

Harry Eggens, a Dutch wildlife photographer, has captured an image of a bear cub throwing down some shapes, or maybe engaging in some tai chi to find inner peace.

As fearsomely cute as their cubs are, the largest of theseEurasian brown bears (Ursus arctos arctos)weighed a record 480 kilograms (1,058 pounds).

The photographs were snapped in northeastern Finland near the Russian border. An estimated 100,000 of these bears live throughout Europe and Asia. While their numbers havebounced backfairly successfullyfrom the days of trophy hunting, its believed just 2 percentof the bears live on their original stomping grounds as logging, mining and other development projects increasingly sweep through their habitat.

This Bird Has An Unhealthy Obsession With Paper Towels. And It’s So Cute.

To most human people, paper towels are used for cleaning. That’s that. You’ll find them in most homes, probably in the kitchen or cupboard, and they’re not terribly exciting.

But do you know who loves paper towels? This little bird. There’s nothing else in the world that makes this tiny fella skip and dance like a double roll of Bounty towels.

Check him out, he can’t get enough!

I will never be this happy about anything in life.

I would love to know a joy like that. Maybe I’ll start playing with paper towels, too. This might be the cheapest key to happiness ever.

There is nothing more relatable than this squirrel eating a hot Cheeto

Image: reddit,  Thereconraccoon

Squirrels: They’re just like us.

On a sunny afternoon, there’s one snack you can’t help but crave. This squirrel was dying for a mid-day snack, and of course he reached for the nearest hot Cheeto to quell his appetite.

The editing experts on the subreddit r/PhotoshopBattles agree that this squirrel is all of us and naturally they chose to honor him with his own battle.

What’s next for this squirrel after he finishes his spicy snack? Perhaps a few hours of playing Call of Duty or a Star Wars movie marathon. Maybe a nap.

This is the life we all want to lead.

You may think they’re cute and cuddly, but deep down, cats are purely evil geniuses.

They may be adorable, but don’t trust these little terrors. They’re secretly plotting your death.

‘Bulb Bandit’ turns out to be a squirrel with a taste for Christmas lights

This is the story of how a squirrel stole Christmas.

Margaret Rican and her Seattle home has been targeted by a thieving squirrel that she has dubbed the “Bulb Bandit.” In a series of YouTube videos, Rican documented the pesky rodent taking colorful bulbs out of a string of lights wraaped around her home’s deck.

“He has stolen 150 in 24 hours, carefully and precisely chewing through the wires to steal the bulb and bury them around the neighborhood,” Rican explains on YouTube.

While it’s humorous to think that there’s a Christmas-hating squirrel roaming the streets of Seattle, the story takes a sudden depressing turn when you realize this poor squirrel probably thinks the bulbs are actually food.

“We want to believe that this little varmint is decorating his nest, but really, we think that he believes these to be food,” Rican wrote. “He’s the hardest working rodent we’ve ever seen, and we are really pulling for him, and hoping he survives this winter.”

Stay safe out there, Bulb Bandit.

Kid writes vet super cute email after her cat drank strawberry milk

Possibly killing your family cat will surely send any preteen into emergency mode, but the fear of getting in trouble is always a priority.

Redditor ChiefAcorn shared an email they received at the animal hospital where they work. Maggie, a 12-and-a-half-year-old wasn’t paying attention and her cat Shadow snuck a few sips of her strawberry milk, which concerned her enough to write her vet an email while her family was sleeping.

“I am concerned how this may effect him because I do not know if he has ever drunken milk or strawberry milk,” the email reads. “I am also concerned because I am the only one in my family who is awake and I am only 12 and a half so I don’t know what to do. Please help me.”

Maggie’s adorable call for help was met with reassuring email from the vet, letting her know that it was OK for Shadow to have a few sips of strawberry milk, but that it’s probably not a good idea to let it happen often.

Unfortunately, it took the vet a little while to get back to Maggie, but we’re sure her parents would understand if she was forced to tell them the tale of Shadow and the strawberry milk sips.

Local news teases report on cougar with a tiny, harmless house cat

A house cat found the perfect opportunity to photobomb a live news segment.

Fox13’s Scott Madaus was teasing a live report from a field in Hernando, Mississippi where someone claims they spotted a cougar one day earlier.

“I’m Scott Madaus, live in Hernando, Mississippi where there have been spottings of a cougar,” the man said into the camera. “And that’s not it, that looks like a house cat,” he continued as the shot panned to a very normal cat, and stayed on it for the remainder of the recording.

On the screen, the chyron reads: “LARGE CAT SPOTTED.”

The news team’s use of the random cat in the field was instant comedic gold, and the clip quickly spread on Twitter, where it received over 30,000 retweets.

Madaus shared the clip to his Facebook page, where he said he was surprised by the internet’s reaction to the clip.

“Not really sure how my live tease made social media let alone international social media. But here you go if you didn’t catch it,” he wrote.

While Madaus admits the cat shot was planned, the perfect delivery and camera pan made the clip an instant classic.

Never change, local news.

Tired sea lion decides this car is a great place for a nap

Sometimes, you just need to take a little nap.

Melanie J. Sceva Hill happened across an odd scene on Saturday in Freeland, Washington. A careless sea lion made its way to a Honda Civic in a parking lot and decided that the roof was a perfect place to catch a snooze.

“That’s the weirdest thing,” Hill can be heard saying in the clip. “Why would he even do that?”

Apparently Honda Civics are like lounge chairs to sea dogs.

Hill says that two local sheriffs cars responded to the incident and broke up the slumber party.

When Animals Have Perfectly Startling Timing, This Hilarity Happens

It’s always hilarious when you’re able to time a prank so perfectly that the prankee spills the cereal they were holding all down the front of their shirt. The bigger the mess, the better. The best pranksters out there, though, might be our furry, bug-eyed, or even scaly counterparts. They’re unpredictable, and you never know what kind of mood they’re going to be in.

These animals have got the spook down…

“BOO! Ha, gotcha.”

If only these animals could give me tips on how to spook my roommates.

32 More Cats That Give Zero Craps About How Much Shame You’re Putting On Them

Cats are perfect cuddle companions for their humans. There’s nothing like hearing that soothing purr as you both relax and zone out on the couch.

However, as most owners know, they can also be huge jerks. It would be one thing if they at least seemed apologetic about it, but of course they just can’t be bothered to care one little bit. In their eyes, they simply can do no wrong.

1. “Mm, yes, this important bill has an excellent flavor.”

2. He just wants to make sure you won’t miss his signature scent!

3. “Sometimes it’s even better coming up than coming down.”

4. “Lots of hair, don’t care.”

5. “Hey, you’re the rude person who didn’t want to share.”

6. “Heh heh, hope you liked my present!”

7. “It was a noble, delicious death.”

8. “You were looking at too many other cats.”

9. “Psh, I don’t need fancy things.”

10. “She knows what she did.”

11. Maybe Freud was onto something, he just had the wrong species.

12. “I’ll tell you when I’ve had enough!”

25. “And don’t you forget it.”

31. Maybe she was hoping for longer?

32. “It’s a GIFT!”

At least dogs usually have the decency to pretend they feel guilty. Cats, on the other hand, seem to expect us to apologize for being so rudely offended by their totally “normal” actions. Sheesh, it’s a good thing they’re cute.
