Awkward half-cat loafing on the stairs sparks Photoshop battle no one expected

The Internet will never tire of the strange beauty of an awkwardly placed cat.

This poor feline who is stuck on the stairs, somewhere between a comfy cat-loaf position and actually being able to stand is a perfect example.

Poor cat.

We’re sure the cute kitty was able to find a way to another part of the house, but not before a picture was taken for the Internet’s amusement and so Redditors could photoshop it to their hearts’ content.

You made it weird, Internet.

Bear on couch too damn chill to eat you

Bears don’t have any interest in your miserable standing desks, thank you very much.

Mandy Stantic was visiting a garbage dump in Northern Manitoba last spring when she came upon a black bear sitting on a discarded sofa. Stantic, whose photos just recently went viral, had specifically driven to the dump with her daughter to see the dump (god bless Canadian road trips) when she discovered the bear just lounging.

“The bears are always very active at the dump. This one must have been in the mood to relax after eating his full and climbed up on the couch to get comfortable,” Stantic told Mashable

“Not unusual to see bears at the dump, but to see one sitting just casual like a human was pretty unique and I had to take a picture.”

According to Stantic, the dump is a common hang out spot for the area’s local bears. What it lacks in greenery and pleasant odors it more than makes up for in bears lounging on La-Z-Bears.

All this bear needs is a lava lamp and some frozen pizza to become its spirit human, Al Bundy.

Dad pulls out daughter’s loose tooth with a wild squirrel

Pulling a loose tooth out is a delicate business and who better to execute the task than a feral rodent.

A Montreal dad, David Freiheit, recently decided to complete a “historical first” and take out his daughter’s tooth using a wild squirrel. Freiheit attaches one end of the dental floss to his daughter’s tooth, and granola to the other side. A nearby squirrel pulls on the granola, as squirrels do, taking out the tooth in the process.

“Not many people get to say they did something for the first time in human history,” Freiheit writes in the caption.

Congratulations, dad, on this truly inimitable achievement.

Dolphin leaps out of water and lands on top junior surf champion

It’s not all fun and games in the water.

Junior surfing champion Jed Gradisen got a huge surprise while surfing off the west coast of Australia when a dolphin jumped out of the water and landed directly on his board.

Thankfully, Jed’s father was there to capture the startling moment on camera.

“I think it was just an accident that the dolphin jumped on me,” Jed said to local news station KABC. “It was just as amazed as I was.”

Luckily, Jed was not seriously hurt and insisted the experience wouldn’t keep him out of the water.

Surf on, Jed. We’ll be on the beach.
